For the first MOPS meeting after our winter break I wanted to provide a craft for the ladies that would be useful in the New Year. I came up with these "Birthday Calendar Wall Plaques". They are a cute alternative to a regular calendar as you can just focus on birthdays and not appointments or other activities that can clutter a calendar. The hanging month tags are left blank for you to write in the birthday and the name of your loved ones on their corresponding month tags. When it's time to change the month, simply lift up all the tags and move the old one to the back, leaving the new month in the front. It's a different way to keep track of all those special dates, keeping them front and center instead of hiding on your phone! ;)

I'm excited to post my first blog collaboration, just in time for Thanksgiving! My good friend Rochelle from her blog, This Couple's Palate, came up with an amazing made-from-scratch recipe for a Roasted Kabocha Squash Soup topped with crispy chorizo and coconut milk...yum! To complement this delicious Thanksgiving inspired soup, we put together a beautiful table setting featuring DIY Succulent Pumpkin centerpieces and "Give Thanks" Place Cards, available here for a free download.

{DIY} Mini Witch Hat Trick-or-Treat Piñata • Tutorial and Free Printables
Monday, October 20, 2014
Here is a festive Halloween craft I put together for our latest MOPS
meeting; DIY Mini Witch Hat Trick-or-Treat Piñatas! The best part of these, they're reusable!
I re-created this craft from tutorials I found on Pinterest by Parents and Studio DIY. I modified them a bit to make the craft more user friendly and added some of my own Halloween charm by creating the witch hat banner and pull tag. To download the pinata template and free printables, follow my complete tutorial.
