I'm excited to post my first blog collaboration, just in time for Thanksgiving! My good friend Rochelle from her blog, This Couple's Palate, came up with an amazing made-from-scratch recipe for a Roasted Kabocha Squash Soup topped with crispy chorizo and coconut milk...yum! To complement this delicious Thanksgiving inspired soup, we put together a beautiful table setting featuring DIY Succulent Pumpkin centerpieces and "Give Thanks" Place Cards, available here for a free download.

Rochelle has always impressed me with her food as long as I've known her. I can always count on her and her husband, Greg, to come to a party with an amazing appetizer, meal, or unique cocktail that I immediately devour. Her recipe for this Roasted Kabocha Squash Soup was no exception! It is both delicious and beautiful to look at, I was wanting seconds before I finished my bowl! To showcase this scrumptious soup, Rochelle and I put together this simple yet festive Thanksgiving table featuring succulent pumpkin centerpieces and individual "Give Thanks" place cards. The centerpieces were so much fun and surprisingly easy to make. You can find the complete tutorial on how to make them yourself here at Better Homes and Gardens.

I designed the place cards with the idea in mind of starting a new Thanksgiving tradition. They are double-sided, and feature a space on the back for your guests to write that for which they are thankful. Provide pens for your guests and encourage them to jot down their thoughts during the meal. Read the cards aloud over coffee and desert. Keep them for years to come, and you'll look back with nostalgia and fond memories! Click here to download the place cards for free.

A topping of coconut milk and a hearty helping of crispy chorizo makes this soup the perfect Thanksgiving dish, with a twist! Head over to This Couple's Palate to find this recipe, and many other delicious dishes!

Rochelle and I had such a wonderful afternoon creating this table-scape. We thoroughly enjoyed this fun & festive dish with a glass of white wine! We can't wait to collaborate again, and hope you enjoy this post as much as we enjoyed creating it!

Cheers!
